Hosting the Ducks in Randle on Tuesday, Toutle Lake led 23-10 at the half and used a suffocating defense to outscore Morton/White Pass 39-11 in the second half for a 62-21 win. They limited the hosts to just 24 field goal attempts in the game and forced 28 turnovers.
In addition to their defense, Toutle Lake shot 70 percent in the second half making 16 of their 23 attempts.
Freshman Ashley Kelly led the Timberwolves with eight points (3 of 3 field goals) and six rebounds. Whitney Elledge added six points and three steals, Darian Atkinson three points, with Stefana Bertucci and Chelbi Eveland scoring two points apiece.
