The Timberwolves played their first league game of the year in Adna and were blitzed by the Pirates 58-27. The hosts opened a 26-2 lead after a quarter and were never threatened during the game.
Adna shot 49 percent for the game from the floor (26 of 53) and outrebounded Morton/White Pass 38-27.
“We never gave up,” Kanyer said. “I was proud that after getting down so big early we kept playing hard.”
Eveland and Atkinson each scored five points for the Timberwolves with Reynolds and Jade Lundy each scoring four. Anderson (eight rebounds) and Kelly added three apiece, with Bertucci scoring two and Elledge one. Morton/White Pass shot 25 percent for the game (10 of 40).
