In Randle on Friday night, the T-Wolves beat Winlock 48-42.
Morton/White Pass led 11-7 after a quarter, held the lead at the half (20-12) and after three quarters (35-26).
Freshman Ashley Kelly scored a career-best 20 points to go with six rebounds, four steals and three assists. Junior Chelbi Eveland posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Darian Atkinson added eight points (two three-pointers), Nicole Anderson four and Whitney Elledge (four assists, four steals) three. Stefana Bertucci grabbed five rebounds.
“It was great to get a win,” coach Lauren Kanyer said. “Ashley had a big game for us. It was good to see her so aggressive offensively. Chelbi also played well with a double-double.”
Morton/White Pass shot 32 percent from the field (17 of 54).
“We still need to shoot better and take care of the ball,” Kanyer said. “But I liked that we didn’t play with fear when it got close in the fourth quarter.”
